Report a correction
Fees change, ordinances get renumbered, and a phone number that worked in July stops working in September. If something on this site is wrong or out of date, this is where to say so.
What happens to it
It goes straight to the people who write Tampa Bay Security Guide. Someone checks the claim against the primary source — the ordinance, the fee schedule, the state licensing board — and if you are right, the page changes and the date on it moves.
We do not reply to most reports. That is not indifference: the fix on the page is the answer, and it helps everyone who reads it next rather than only the person who wrote in. Leave an email address if you would like us to be able to come back with a question.
This is not an enquiry for a security company. Nobody is going to call you about it, and the form below deliberately does not ask for a phone number. If you want help choosing a company, the guides are the whole point of the site — start with how Florida licensing works.
Things worth telling us
- A fee, deadline or code reference that does not match the source we link to.
- A rule that has changed since the date printed on the page.
- A link that is dead, or that now points somewhere else.
- A phone number on a page that no longer reaches the office it names.
- Anything that reads as advice about your specific building — it should not.
